Zakathos Plateau<\/strong><\/h4><p>In Zakathos there is the homonymous plateau which is surrounded by the limestones of the Magassa unit. Chandras &#8211; Armenoi Plateau<\/strong><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">handras &#8211; Armenoi Plateau is a large plateau that develops at the unconformable contact between the alpine rocks of the Miocene, which prevail on its northwestern edges, and the alpine rocks of the Tripoli and Pindos units, which prevail on its southeastern edges. Within the plateau, an important aquifer grows with a multitude of crops that also produce unique grape varieties.
