The virtual tour was produced for the needs of the project titled Geotourism in insular geoparks with acronym GEO-IN. GEO-IN is funded under Interreg Greece – Cyprus 2014-2020 program and will last for two years, ending in November 2019. It will be implemented in the areas of the four UNESCO Global Geoparks of Greece and Cyprus, ie. the Lesvos, Psiloritis and Sitia geoparks in Greece and in Troodos geopark in Cyprus. The partnership is constituted by the AKOMM Psiloritis Local Development SA, which is the coordinator of the project, the Natural History Museum of Lesvos Petrified Forest, the DOKAS of Sitia Municipality, the Development Company of Troodos (ANET), as well as the Natural History Museum of Crete and the Forest Department of Cyprus.
